Summer Adventure 2006

July 3rd, 2006:

2,100 miles after leaving NH, we stopped for our first fun day. Cactus Flat, South Dakota and Badlands National Park.

After 500 miles of prairie land, this moonscape is suddenly just there in front of you.

You can tour by car, day-hike, or backpack in and camp overnight.

Easy to get lost in the countless canyons, even more easy to fall and get hurt on the loose footing.

That’s about a 500 foot drop right behind Annie:

And of course, Joe’s bike was there.
