Summer Adventure 2006
July 7, 2006:
In the last 10 years we have traveled well over 100,000 miles in a motorhome and never had a flat tire.
This morning we had our first blowout. Fortunately it was a rear tire, and since there are dual wheels
back there we were able to limp it to the nearest exit where we found a repair shop who could install the spare.
Back on the road again, and exactly 40 miles later, POW, another blowout! This time on the other side,
but what the heck? Well we got lucky again, especially since we had no spare this time, and were able
to limp into a Goodyear tire store about three miles away for two new tires.

Later that afternoon we crossed into Wyoming and made it over to Devil’s Tower. Really cool. We hiked
all the way around the tower, and stayed overnight in the campground right at the base. Here they play
the movie “Close Encounters” every night at 9pm.
