Summer Adventure 2006
July 13th, 2006:
At Glacier National Park, the scenery is so vast, so beautiful, that photographs cannot capture it and do it justice.

Still, we are taking hundreds of pictures. Every time you turn around there is another scene that you have to shoot.

Yesterday we hiked two miles up through the woods to Avalanche Lake. Here is the view that greeted us when we arrived. Unbelievable!

Those waterfalls are falling over 1,500 feet to the valley floor:

Later on we saw Momma bear cross the road with Baby bear.
Wait a few seconds and here comes Baby Bear number two:

Today we traveled to another part of the park, which was even more beautiful:

And here’s a photo of some high-meadow wildflowers (you may have to look between the spokes):

Tomorrow we are going on a long hike, and plan to climb to the top of the Continental Divide to look down on a glacier from above.
