Dan & Annie's
Summer Adventure 2006
July 30th, 2006:
It is finally time to leave Idaho.
Driving south towards Utah, we came across this view of the Snake River in Twin Falls, Idaho:

That’s a golf course down there:

We made it down to Ogden, Utah the next day.
We visited Park City, then made a big loop around the backside of the Wasatch Mountains.
From the Salt Lake side, we spent some time exploring the canyons that come in from the west.
This view is heading up into Little Cottonwood Canyon:

Here’s the view from the other side, looking back out towards the city:

We rode the gondola to the top of Snowbird ski area. Here are some views from there.

Looking down into the back bowls:

It’s cold up here. Should have brought a hat.

Salt Lake City is the home of the Mormons, who traveled 1,300 miles
across the plains and over the mountains pulling trailers like this:

The motorhome is looking pretty good right now!
Tomorrow our son Chris is flying in to stay with us for a week.
We think we’re going to head up to Yellowstone to see the geysers
and other natural wonders, and do some hiking and biking.
That’s all for now,
