Dan & Annie's
Summer Adventure 2006

September 26th, 2006:

After…

88 days,

13,000 miles,

19 states,

4 flat tires,

12 national parks,

10 mountains climbed,

100 miles hiked,

river rafting,

canyon exploring,

mountain biking,

shaved heads,

train rides,

chairlift rides,

horseback rides,

gold mining,

glacier hiking,

mid-summer snowballs,

bears, moose, elk, deer, antelope, buffalo & yellow belied marmots,

2,800 photographs,

35 newsletters,

15 pictures of the infamous Joe’s bike,

and one police arrest,

our summer adventure is finally over.

We are back in NH visiting family and friends, and we hope those of you who received the newsletter enjoyed following us on our journey.

But now the answer to everyone’s question… What’s next?

Well, on Saturday, the day we began our drive back to NH, we signed papers to buy a condo at Copper Mountain, in Colorado. We are moving next month.

Opening day of the ski season is November 3rd, and we plan to be on the snow at 9am.

It was a difficult decision, as ALL of our family and friends are in NH, and the people at Pats Peak have been so good to us. But once again we have an opportunity to do something exciting, and we don’t know what circumstances might be a year from now, or beyond, so we’re taking advantage of it now.

Our condo has two bedrooms and two baths, and should sleep 6. If anyone would like to come visit us in Colorado, we’d love to have you. We will be on the slopes at Copper Mountain, ski-in, ski-out, eight miles from the town of Frisco, and less than 30 miles from Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin.

So while we’ll miss you all, and hope to get back regularly, we are also pretty excited about this move. Wish us luck!

Bye for now,

Dan & Annie
